Amateur theatre in Kelvedon, Essex

Going Postal is a fast‑paced, comedic stage adaptation of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novel, written for the theatre by Stephen Briggs. It has become one of the most frequently performed Discworld stage works, especially by community theatre groups in the UK.

The play follows Moist von Lipwig, a con artist who is caught and given a stark choice by Lord Vetinari: be hanged… or revive Ankh‑Morpork’s derelict Post Office. The plot centres on Moist’s attempt to outwit the corrupt Grand Trunk semaphore company, survive assassination attempts, and restore public faith in the mail.
