"Cash on Delivery"   by Michael Cooney

Directors: Lesley and Martyn Hill

Michael Cooney's riotous farce has all the ingredients for rib tickling hilarity and offers a colourful selection of character roles. Eric Swan (aided by his Uncle George and unbeknown to his wife, Linda) has pocketed thousands of pounds through fraudulent DSS claims. The mayhem that is caused brings to mind Sir Walter Scott's famous line "O, what a tangled web we weave when first we practise to deceive". With people pretending to be someone they aren't, thrown in with DSS Inspectors, a Bereavement Councillor, an Undertaker, a Psychiatrist and a fiancée (who is told her intended is not only dead but also married), the action is fast and furious all the way through.
